Toirano is an enchanting medieval village over the Varatella river. In prehistory this area, rich in caves with stalactites stalagmites and little underground lakes, was home to cave-dwellers. Saint Lucy’s upper and lower caves are noteworthy, but also the Ethnographic Museum which tells about rural life in past times and displays the ancient tools used to produce olive oil.
