From Albenga it is possible to go on an excursion along the so-called Archeological Walk, part of which is a stretch of the Via Julia Augusta (13 b.C.) winding around the remains of tombs which date back to the Roman Empire. From there the view of the sea and the Gallinara Islet is breathtaking.
